The jaw crusher consists of a fixed jaw and a movable jaw, forming a V-shaped crushing chamber. The movable jaw moves back and forth, compressing and breaking the material against the fixed jaw. Material is fed into the top opening and is progressively crushed as it moves downward through the chamber. The size of the output material is determined by the adjustable gap between the jaws at the discharge point. This design allows for efficient size reduction with a typical crushing ratio between 6:1 and 8:1.
